Tzedaka Boxes
A Tzedakah Box is a ceremonial object used in many Jewish homes to collect funds for people in need. Charity (tzedakah) designates the voluntary giving of aid to those needing assistance. Jewish law has deemed tzedaka one of the mitzvot (commandments) required by the Torah. Many biblical verses in the prophetic literature speak in praise of charity.
