Hamsahs
A Hamsah is a palm-shaped amulet, often appears in necklaces, bracelets, wall hangings and key chains, as a defense against the evil eye. The word Hamsah comes from the Hebrew word “Hamesh”, Meaning: five. It symbolizes the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, "Heh", which represents one of the God's holy names. There are Jews who believe that the five fingers of the hamsah is a reminder of using their five senses to praise God.
